Udupi, Jan 24: A construction worker died of a fall from an under-construction building in the city on Sunday January 22 night.
The deceased Chandan Ram (20) was a resident of Bihar and was in the city for sometime now along with a few others from his statemates who were engaged in the construction of Matrusrhi Apartment near Alankar Theatre here.
Chandan had a holiday on Sunday January 22. So he had gone up to the fifth floor of the building to bring his clothes, which he had put for drying. However, he slipped and fell into the lift duct. He was immediately admitted to KMC Hospital at Manipal. But he succumbed to the injuries on the same night.
The Udupi town police have registered a case in this regard.
