Mangalore, Jan 23: Y Rajaratna Hegde (55) of Yenagudde Doddamane near Katapadi here passed away on Monday January 23 morning after a brief illness.
Rajaratna Hegde was a respected person in Kaatpady vicinity. While being active in the religious and social field in the area, he was also known to be man of principles. He was managing trustee of Yenagudde Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple and honorary president of the Renovation Committee of Shri Brahma Baidarkala Garodi of Yenagudde. He had also been the member of Shri Ganeshotsava Committee of Katpadi.
The business community in Katapadi closed their shops on Monday afternoon as a mark of respect to the departed soul of Rajaratna Hegde.
His last rites were carried out on Monday evening.
