Mangalore, Jan 23: A trawler boat used for fishing capsized at Tannirbavi shores near here on Sunday January 22 night.
The said trawler boat "Gurudarshan" was owned by one Jayaram of Ullal. On Sunday the fishermen had gone fishing on the boat as usual. They were not very far from the shore when the boat engine ceased to run.
So having lost control of the boat, the four fishermen jumped overboard and swam to safety. But the boat soon capsized.
As a result the boat has been heavily damaged. The total loss has been estimated at Rs 6 lac.
