Mangalore, Jan 22: Call it a tragedy or the act of an absent-minded father, but the incident has moved several hearts in empathy. Only God knows what made this father leave his stillborn baby in a bus.
The incident was reported in Vittal police station limits, where a father who was taking his dead child from the hospital to the house is reported to have left it in the bus.
Lilavathi wife of Kunhi Naika of Kudlupadau had delivered a dead child. Kunhi Naika took the child and boarded a bus. The child was wrapped in a plastic and Naika left it below the seat near the driver.
When the bus moving from Vittal to Pakalakunja found a plastic and the matter came to their notice. The bus employees then took the body to the Vittal community hospital as the name of the hospital was found on the plastic!
