Yesudas to be honoured

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 13 (IANS): Veteran playback singer K.J. Yesudas will receive P. Bhaskaran Puraskar, instituted by P. Bhaskaran Foundation, for his contribution in the field of cinema.

Director-poet-lyricist Sree Kumaran Thampi will present the award in a function to be held Feb 25.

    Yesudas deserves this award as he has immortalised P. Bhaskaran's lyrics such as "Innale mayangumbol", "Thaamasamentheh" and "Innaleh Neeyoru" by his beautiful rendering. May Almighty God bless him.
