Sister of Delhi gang-rape accused dies, family denies suicide reports

New Delhi, Feb 12 (PTI): A minor sister of one of the accused in the December 16 gang-rape of a paramedical student died over the weekend after prolonged illness, her family said.

The girl, sister of accused Pawan Gupta, was not keeping well for some time and she passed away on Saturday, the counsel for Gupta in the case said refuting reports that the girl committed suicide.

Family members of the girl said she died a natural death and that she "did not commit suicide". They said she breathed her last at their house in R K Puram.

Police said they have no information about the death of the girl and did not receive any complaint of suicide.

Meanwhile, Gupta's counsel has moved an application before the fast-track court trying the case seeking permission to meet his family members. The counsel requested the court to allow him to meet his family members, including his father and mother, for eight hours on any day it deems fit.

    Shahnawaz Bhai..I respect your comment which is very wise,valid and matured one..But my heart doesn't agree with it..as you said "i am emotionally charged"..I feel I have to follow heart and not mind becuase Mind is a tricky one which changes every time.But Heart..it is permanent..One can't it..We really understand the pain when we are victims or victim's close relatives..

    You are emotionally charged and you penned your comments. I respect and value your sentiments.
    Lets use our brain to think and not our hearts...hearts sometime give out anger, frustration, depression and man acts in a haste..the results are negative and unrepairable.. Out of fist and anger or revenge, people take law in their hands and start killing others. but if an angry man controls his anger, cools down and give time to think (brain) he will act in a decissive way and wisdom shall prevent major disaster... First time offenders need to be given a chance to repent, remorse and mend themselves.. repeated offenders needs to be punished...hardest of all punishment...Love only can transform the evil and devil in to good and virtues... vengence, hate only brings about devision and destruction.....Widow of Stains pardoned the killers of her husband and children.. wow what a personality.. sonia and priyanka pardoned the killer of husband/father...For a healthy, progressive, inclusive and peaceful society, administration of justice in its equality is a must. When we apply choose and pick modality in applying our justice system, then more alienation and distrust will be built amongst the citizens...Justice should not see the caste or creed but should see the offence and its implications on the society at large....Corrupt and bribe taking ministers/politicians need to be categorised as anti nationals and need to be tried under security act...Those who compromise our national security are not less than traitors and terrorist and must be tried.. whoever they may be and whatever position they are holding...Application of law in its equality is a must for our country if we desire stability, progress and peace...

    What makes them to do such kind of acts we don’t know. But guys there are RED LIGHT AREAS available. Go there and accomplish the urges of the body. Don’t target on those innocent lives, who have done nothing wrong towards you. Because of your insane mind and because of your body urges…you have no right to play around with other life’s. God did not give you permission for this. No matter what…you can escape from worldly punishment…but at the end of your life…you have to be infront of your CREATOR who will judge you accordingly.

    GOD BLESS THE HUMAN RACE I repeat it again.

    Well said Jaimini Maam! When those 6 accused did not show any kind of mercy towards that innocent girl, then why should others show towards them. I agree totally that love can mold a corrupted mind. But how far is it true? It’s within you whether you want to mold yourself, whether you want to change your nature. No child comes to this world by doing crime. Yes it’s the circumstances makes you like this…but this kind of inhuman act? What the girl has done to them. We have heard so many rape cases…but this was an extreme case. Even the demons will not do like this may be. They will think may be zillion times before conducting such kind of acts. Just imagine guys…when you get hurt by a normal thorn…how much it hurts you for that moment…this girl went through so much of pain…which we cannot explain. Just imagine…did they think about it. Now you people are talking about meeting their dear ones. She also had the family. She had the intension to fight over her pain…she wanted to live…but what happened? After doing such a horrible crime…yet those culprits are feeling not guilty. And still court and government is waiting to the final judgment.

    Once I have mentioned over my comments that…there will be a day we all will get tired commenting on these kind of matters….we will be left with no words to comment…but crimes will never end…no matter how much you try yourself, when it has to happen it will happen. Tell me raping nowadays a child…who are less than 5 years/10 years. Guys tell me..these culprits need mercy from us? These pedophiles are not vicious but they are sick..Answer me?
    We too have kids…day by day fear occupies our mind…how far we are safe..how far our kids are safe. How far you can protect your kids? Are they are in safe hands, while going to school, while in the transport, while going to malls, while going to watch movie with their friends? Tell me guys…are you not afraid for your children…your sisters, your wife and even for your mothers?

    If parents bring up their children in the right atmosphere at home, they will not become terrorists, rapists, killers etc. Its only because the parental bonds are week that the children go astray.
    Will love and affection cause change of heart in those peoples heart, who profess death for the infidels?

    1. The way six accused raped girl in bus and put iron road into her body and damaged her intestine and thrown her like a dog from the bus..Cruelty at its best !
    2.Mother of a 13 years old boy (who raped 5 years girl and murdered her) tried to hide son's blood soaked dress to save him from police in Mumbai (TOI report)
    3.Terrosits who kill innocent people
    Situation,incidents made me hard and changed my logic.

    Dear Jaimini,

    How come you have become heartless all of a sudden. I always read your comments and your comments always carry logic and weight. But todays comment made me to think how the mercy, love and compassion is fast evaporating from our hearts. No parents beget their children as terrorists. They bring them up hoping that one day their children would bring fame and name to them and support them. But the society and other circumstances make them terrorists, rapists or killers... OK.. why these accused should not be allowed to see their loved ones...is it not their right... if they are not allowed, at least the family members should be allowed to see their kids in jail..Punishment should be given to the culprits but basic human rights should not be compromised....Love only can bring about positive changes. Even the convicts who are serving jail terms need to be reformed through love and sympathy..and should be given a chance to reform themselves..No society or human being is perfect. We as parents should give morale education to our children right from their tender age. A good house means a good family. A good family means a good society. a good society means a good nation and a good nation means a good world....Lets introspect ourselves so that we start mending ourselves from today and lets teach our children dos and donts.. and talk to them on the high values of love and compassion and 20 years from now. our country will be the best in the world. There will be no violence and no rape. no murder... love and compassion is the need of the hour and not hate and revenge...Jaimini Saab...please reply...as you are my most favoured commentator in this forum..

    There is no difference between terrorist and Delhi Gang rape accused.Even Afzal Guru who was hanged in Tihar Jail was not given permission to meet his family before his hanging.So,in this case too,rape & murder accused should not be given chance to meet his family members.Law is same to everyone.

    May soul rest in peace.Sister of gang rape met natural death or not would not bring anyway influence her monster brother.I think parents of Gang rape wanted to meet their son @ this juncture would embarrassment serve no purpose.Those monsters case diaries are watched by billion plus Indians.RAPING IS VIRTUALLY KILLING THE PERSON.Therefore,no mercy to rapists please.....
