'Chakravyuh' has Realistic Action: Action Director Abbas

Mumbai, Oct 10 (IANS): "Chakravyuh" action director Abbas Ali Moghul says the action sequences in the film are very realistic and that each daredevilry is distinct.

"We have kept it very realistic, there was no use of wire-work. There are eight or nine major action sequences where bullets are being fired. But if bullets are being fired in all the sequences, then it becomes a challenge for the fight master to keep each sequence unique," Abbas said here in an interview.

Abbas adds that he could accomplish the distinctness with the help of the movie's director, Prakash Jha.

"If you move along with the director, then your action sequences will look different. Otherwise in so many films we see the same type of action in different scenes, the same firing or blast scenes. But after talking to Prakashji, we treated each sequence differently," Abbas said.

Abbas further says that all three male actors - Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee and Abhay Deol - were given equal amount of action to do.

"Everyone was taking an interest because it was like a competition between all three of them. All of them are good actors and all of them also wanted to do equal action because the story also demands it.

"Prakashji and I decided to divide action stunts equally among the three," said Abbas, who has worked on films like "Agneepath", "Dangerous Ishq" and "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai".

"Chakravyuh", based on the Naxalite (Maoist) movement, hits theatres this Dusshera Oct 24.
