Survey : Urban India Wants Narendra Modi as PM‎

In a survey conducted in 28 cities across the country by a Hindi news channel and Nielsen, Modi has emerged as the favourite ahead of even Rahul Gandhi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar.

New Delhi, Sep 1 (ABP) : Despite holding an image of being a staunch Hindutva supporter, Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is the preferred prime ministerial choice of 42 per cent of respondents, who were surveyed to learn about their opinion by ABP News and Nielsen.

Rahul Gandhi has gained support of 26 per cent, who is likely to be Congress' choice to lead the nation if they win 2014 general elections

12 per cent of the respondents feel Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar is an ideal candidate to become the PM considering successful developments carried out by him in his state.

Around 37 per cent feel that Rahul Gandhi is still not ready to take up the big role of leading and taking decision for 1.2 billion countrymen. However, 30 per cent do feel that he does have the leadership quality in him.

Around 17 per cent felt that none of the three deserve to be on the top post to represent the country.

Modi who has turned out to be a poster boy of the BJP since 2002 could be a big reason as to why 49 per cent of the respondents feel that the BJP can be led more stably if the CM comes to power at the Centre.

BJP veteran Lal Krishna Advani is way behind in garnering votes for him as Modi leads him 51:28 as a better leader in the party.

Modi has been facing flak from a few NDA allies like the JD(U) and some from his own party, but 50 per cent do feel that he will be accepted as a PM candidate, while 32 per cent do not feel that the allies will show him the green signal.

There have been considerable reports of Modi and his party men playing a big role in the 2002 Gujarat riots. 44 per cent feel that if he were to apologise for the carnage then it would improve his image in political circles helping him woo more electorate.

But overall level 56 per cent respondents agree with the fact that BJP is currently facing issues like infighting, which can stall Modi's chances in being the frontrunner from their end.

Bennny, Mangalore. Dude, I am really astonished that by sitting in Mangalore, you got all the details about last 10 years of Narendra Modi govt. Seriously, do your research. Communal riots in Gujarat is no new thing.
Main point is, after 2002, there has been not 1 incident relating to communal riots. Narendra modi couldn't handle the situation in the best possible manner, but since then, he went to university and got a degree in Political Science. You cant judge a person by one isolated incident. I am not a staunch supporter of Modi, but at the same time I cannot deny what he has achieved for the state of Gujarat. When Congress was in power, muslims were still killed. To turn this to their political advantage, they adopted KHAM policy (reservations for low caste people). Now,isnt that the worst form of racism? How is it fair that just because you are born in upper class, you have to compete with rest of the population, where if you are born in lower class, you are automatically admitted to medical colleges. More than half of the people here do not know what they are talking about. Communal riots dont happen on its own. Its created by political parties for their advantage. Modi is no Saint, but he delivers results, development and more importantly peace in last 10 years. I can bet you no congress or any other party CM or PM has achieved this kind of success. Time to wake up. Time to vote for Development not vote banks..

I am sorry to say Mister You have poor knowledge of India and poorer about Gujarat. Please don't forget there is sizable muslim population in gujarat. one most important point there were no riots in Gujarat for the last 10 years. Gujarat is very much a part of the fabric of nation, you can not separate it from rest of India. People of Gujarat are choosing modi. There is a reason for that. Please repair your bias.

    Thanking you for your justure.
I am not against any human being who is a good human. Do not the evil also does good things to stay on its course?! surely. Should I support the evil?! Never. The good person always takes good from his treasures.
If the riots were broke out Mr. Modi had all the power to stop immediately by imposing curfew. But he never did and encouraged by giving free hand. He has missutilized the oath as a Chief Minister. He is a Hindu and he follows Hinduism. Good. Nobody objected him.
HE WILL BE REMEMBERED WORLD WIDE AS A GRETEST BUTCHER INDIA AND HATER OF NON-HINDU FAITH.

How the masses will cry if anybody says Bolo Bharath Matha ki, the ego will come from the masses as Jaiaiaiaiaiaiaiai. Will they say only Jai. If you have any videos just hear how the ego is coming if said Bolo Bharath Matha ki.
HOWEVER MY INTENTION IS NOT TO HURT THE EARTH WHERE WE ARE BORN.

Modi should become PM. I have travelled extensively in Gujarat and Karnataka. There is no comparison at all. All the roads are beautiful. The planning of road construction is wonderful. The road construction is entrusted to usually reputed companies like L&T. Whenever new roads have to be laid they will never do patch up things like in Karnataka. They will leave the existing roads in tact. Instead they will acquire separate land indepadent of the existing road and construction will go smoothly without disturbing existing roads and traffic! He has not spared religious places irrespective of religion for the purpose of roads and infrastructure.

The irrigation system is wonderful. Encouragement to industries is very good. Power is abundantly available. This is all possible because of Modi. Let him become the PM of India. Mind you he has banned Gutkha and the Karnataka BJP and CAMPCO were not able to influence him in this matter. This only shows that as far as development goes his ideals are more than religious ideoligies. Development and development means Modi. Let him become the PM of the country for the benefit of general public.
As regards development you cannot compare any State to Gujarat. Karnataka has brought a bad name for BJP and you just cannot compare the BJP of Guarat to that matter.

But it could be Sri Vajapayee or Nitish Kumar or some other able leader..only fundamentalists are praising and singing the tune of Modi as MOdi is pioneer of hate speeches and hate compaign..He is fit to rule a state and not a country like India which has vast diversity. JAYALALITHA? NITHISH? There can be a survey who among the political leaders want him? AMONG THE BJP VETERANS: ADVANIJI WILL BE AGAINST HIM TOO. Many communal and hate towards other religions is going on in our two immediate neighboring countries. Life is miserable to non-muslims in those country. They won't even spare kids or disable people. My point is none of you raise your voices against it or oppose it. According to me, Muslim and Christens are much safer in India than our neighbors because majority Hindus are God-fearing and believe in "live and let live".

There will be bitter tussle between them, even if they come to power at the Centre. There wont be any governance (same like Karnataka or the earlier BJP at the center with exception to Bajpai) We the people of India will be forever reading news of these idiotic Ministers and not the news of developemnt of state / country, and use our spare time to discuss, make comments here and everywhere and never think of electing a very different Govt. for the people.
    Donot vote for BJP/Congress/JDSs

Lets look at the PM candidature with a lens of experience...

Nitish has done great deal of job in pulling Bihar out of hell..

Modi has for the last taken Gujarat to better economic heights... Yes, the riots were under his administration, however the culprits have been punished...

with video proof, we are yet to hang Kasab under the able rule of Kaaaangris... and ofcourse lets not forget 1984... The great congress uted it under the gandhi's nose...

now lets look at Rahul Gandhi... the only fame to his glory is that he is born into the Gandhi family... even his constituency in Amety routed Congress during state elections... why do we even count him as a PM to lead a nation of 1 Billion people...

cant we think beyond Gandhi's???? There are able and proven leaders in congress acceptable to all religions... Sadly Pranab is made a rubber stamp by Italian strategy

    Dear Mr. Nagesh Nayak
Below is a new, good one don’t cut and paste and make hanky panky,

    Survey falsifies prediction
Because for you it is from a Christian
    Modi’s depiction is a fiction
    Modi has no Unction
    There are so many factions
Against Fundamental Hindus Modi hesitates to take action.
Visa denial is a slap on his administrative function
Nitish Kumar, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj lusting promotion against Modi’s commotion
We the Indian voters surely are capable for Modi’s immediate eviction.

    Rahula Gandhi is the answer.
Bjp and Narendra modi are the cancer.
    Modi required immediately chemotherapy
For Rahul Gandhi just enough a water therapy
    With Rahul Gandhi’s bouncer
Narendra Modi will fall on the Fencer.

Dear all don’t be fooled by surveys as we have all voted for bjp in Mangalore, Karnataka. In return we received church attacks, Laathi charges, miscreants damaging churches and Christian symbols every now and then.
My clear message to the masses your first mistake became a blunder. Therefore Kindly don’t repeat second mistake and hope will not allow worst blunder to happen.

    Bolo Bharath Matha ki Jaiaiaiaiaiaiaiai.
    Rahul Gandhi ki Jaiaiaiaiaiaiaaiaiaiaiai.

Narendra Modi as Prime Minister : Positive & Negative Points:
    1. Able Administrator, but authoritarian
    2. Developed Gujarat, but at the same time communal division also has developed, leads to insecurity.
    3. Corruption is reduced in Gujarat but as per recent survey Gujarat is still tops in Milk Adulteration.
    4. After Churches burning and, Riots in Gujarat, he has demolished illegal Temples also.
    5. He has introduced anti conversion bill, whereas all faiths be it Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Buddhists and Sikhs are propagating their faith not only in India but all over the world, where it is a right guaranteed by constitution.
    6. Track record of dealing with minorities is bad but he has been continuously trying to improve his image and working, he has to assure all citizens that he shall uphold constitutional rights given to all its citizens.

If you let this UPA govt continue it will sell all minerals,2G ,3G and other national properties to Tata ,Birla and Reliance & etc at throw away price. national properties are not congress an-sisters property to sell at low price ,it is property of each Indian citizen every India has right to ask and know about it.PM is telling that he is not getting political support from political parties to loot all the mines. Each political party should remember there lot of generation to come after us we should leave some natural resources to them .as already crude oil price is hitting sky limit.

No doubt Modi is better than Rahul, advani, Niteesh. But he has show the country that he is secular.

    Negetive Image of Modi:

    Minorites don't like Modi.. because
of gujrat riot.and his communal agenda..

    Positive Image :

    1) He is a Dynamic, progressive leader that our country really need him..

    2) He is a Acheiver he has a good vision and future indian economy plans.

    Mr. Modi has no vision.

The left leaning phonies of the indian media blow up every single issue related to him and people still believe a party that is eating the country inside out through its scams, enouraging illegal migrants in assam & doing what not for vote bank politics.

And BTW how come do associate secualrism with the congress ?? Do they have ive amnesia and conveniently forget its role in a more severe massacre in 1984 ??

He could be good administrator and developer but as a human being he lacks heart and he is communual. His role in post Godhra and other coomunual riots cant be easily forgotten. He is surely a hero for communual minded people. ONly communual minded outfits and people support his candidature. If is destiny makes him to become the PM of India, that day will be the most unfortunate day in the history of our nation..Lets wait and watch..

    Sir
I think that the survey also shows that he can ad minister. Like i write comment once Rahul Gandhi run to his mummy for everything and cannot even decide when to marry. How can he run country? Nitish Kumar ,Sir, it will take long years to clear Bihar of Charu mess of Laalu. Sonia Madam -no responsibility only power. Manmohan Singhji always mum. Rajiv Gandhi as already said=Mummy. Therefore many like it or not Modi Sir is front runner by example of Gujarat Model.
    Thank you.

We need a strong leader for India. At present it only Modi. There was another Mr. Pranab Mukeerjee, but unfortunately congress somehow manage to get him out of race.
Mr. Modi is far better than our some Psyuedo secularists.

Mr.MODI..RIGHT CANDIDATE for PM POST..Please go to Gujarat and see the development. You will vote for him even if you are a dead enemy of Mr.Modi ! Whole North India was under blackout for 3 days last month. But Gujarat didn't face any trouble, even 18,000 small villages also had power becasue of Modi's "Jyotigram Program". Gujarat will not suffer from water crisis even if severe draught effects that state for 2 years ! Modi's development plan is magnificient.

Modi will surely make BRIC come true in 5 years. Involving Manohar Parrikar (Goa CM) would be icing on the cake.

THERE IS NO NEED OF SURVEY.

WHOLE WORLD IS AWARE OF SHRIMAAN NARENDRA MODIJI'S DEVELOPMENT PLANK.

UNFORTUNATELY IN INDIA MONEY PLAYS BIGGER ROLE THAN DEVELOPMENT.

ITALIAN LED CONGRESS IS HELL BENT UPON DESTABILISING SHRIMAAN NARENDRA MODIJI ON MONEY POWER.

ITALIAN LED CONGRESS LEADERS ARE TELLING THAT THEY CANNOT DEFEAT SHRIMAAN NARENDRA MODIJI FOR ANOTHER CENTURY.

THEY ARE FINDING OTHER ILLEGAL WAY TO DESTABLISE SHRIMAAN NARENDRA MODIJI.

MOST OF THE MEDIA IN INDIA ARE CONTROLLED BY CHRISTAIN MISSIONARIES & MONEY IS POURING LIKE A WATER.

MEDIA NEVER GIVES SHRIMAAN NARENDRA MODIJI'S DEVELOPMENTS, ACHIEVEMENT ETC...

UK BASED UNIVERSITY D THAT GUJARATH IS THE ONLY STATE IN THE WORLD WHICH GIVES 24X7 ELECTRICITY TO THE VILLAGERS THRU SOLAR PANELS.

TH ABOVE ACHIEVEMENT IS THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG.

    JAI HO SHRIMAAN NARENDRA MODIJI.

Also this Hindi news channel should do a survey on WHO IS THE BEST PERSON TO SELL MUNDAKKI MASAALA in Panambur beach. Rahul Gandhi will be a front runner with 90% votes, followed by MMS with 10% votes.

AMONG THE PRESENT LOT NO DOUBT NARENDRA MODI IS THE MOST SUITABLE CANDIDATE BUT HE WILL BE ABLE TO PERFORM ONLY IF HE HAS A COOPERATIVE AND DEDICATED AND WELL BALANCED TEAM IN THE PRESENT SCENARIO IT IS VERY DOUBTFULL TO HAVE SUCH A IDEAL SITUATION AS THERE ARE CRACKS IN EVERY PARTY AND DISCONTENMENT AND REBELS A PLENTY NO DOUBT HE HAS DONE A GOOD JOB IN GUJARAT BUT IT HAS TO BE SEEN HOW SUCCESSFULL HE IS ON A LARGER PLATFORM LIKE THE LOKSABHA LETS HOPE FOR THE BEST

As long as he brings in development n not his RSS ideology its ok , we cant fight fate. but the problem is his own party men are against him Advani himself wanst to become PM , second his allies are not in favour of him, it seems BJp is always a divided house, last time one of the main reason they lost the gen.elections was not having a sure PM candidate.
