Voting for Presidential Poll Begins in Tamil Nadu


Chennai, Jul 19 (IANS): Voting for the presidential election has begun in Tamil Nadu with Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha casting the first ballot, followed by other legislators.

In the poll that began around 10 a.m. at the state secretariat here, 234 legislators would cast their votes to elect India's 13th president.

According to the Election Commission, 10 Lok Sabha and five Rajya Sabha members have got the permission to cast their votes here.
