Srinagar, Oct 12: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday said it had attached a residential property in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar district that was allegedly used to harbour Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists.
According to a press release issued by the agency, the attached property is located at Khasra No. 315 in Danihama village in the Hazratbal area of Srinagar. The property belongs to accused Ghulam Mohammad Mir, alias Mama Gas, and has been attached in connection with case RC-02/2026/NIA/JMU, relating to a cross-border terrorist conspiracy involving the proscribed LeT outfit.

The property was attached under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, after obtaining the requisite prior approval of the NIA Director General.
The investigation has established a direct link between the property and the alleged terrorist conspiracy, as the premises were used to harbour Pakistani terrorists and conceal incriminating material connected with the terror network, the agency said.
The case was initially registered as FIR No. 24/2026 on March 31, 2026, at Zakoora police station in Srinagar. It was subsequently taken over and re-registered by the NIA.
The investigation has exposed an alleged network of local Over Ground Workers (OGWs) operating in coordination with Pakistan-based LeT handlers to facilitate the infiltration, movement, shelter and logistical support of Pakistani terrorists for carrying out attacks against government establishments, security forces and civilians.
During a search conducted on April 6 at Mir's residential premises in Danihama, Hazratbal, investigators detected two suspected Pakistani terrorists, identified as Abu Huraira and Khubaib, who were associated with the LeT, the NIA said.
An explosive-like substance, digital devices and other incriminating material were also recovered and seized from the premises.
The investigation further revealed that the accused had allegedly provided his residential premises as a safe haven for the terrorists and knowingly allowed the property to be used to facilitate their activities.
The NIA said the investigation was continuing to identify and expose the entire terror-support network, including other OGWs, facilitators and individuals linked to the Pakistan-based handlers.
