New Delhi, Oct 8: Indian Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh on Thursday said the geopolitical situation remains uncertain with new conflicts emerging across the world, but asserted that the IAF remains “alert, committed and ready” to deal with any contingency.
Addressing the 94th Air Force Day celebrations at Hindan Air Base in Uttar Pradesh, Singh recalled the IAF’s operations during last year’s Operation Sindoor and said the world witnessed the force’s air defence capabilities and operational strength during the military conflict with Pakistan.

He said “infallible, impervious and precise” was not merely a tagline but reflected the IAF’s strength and resolve.
“The Indian Air Force, being the custodian of air power, understands its role and responsibilities, and is always alert, committed, and ready to meet any contingency,” Singh said.
He stressed that operational preparedness was the true measure of an air force’s strength, irrespective of the sophistication of its aircraft and systems. According to him, the ability to respond quickly and confidently when required remains crucial.
Singh said the IAF’s operational capability and readiness were moving in the right direction and highlighted a culture of ownership and accountability across the force. He also credited air warriors as the key strength of the organisation.
The IAF chief said commanders were promoting effective decision-making by delegating responsibilities and developing leadership qualities among personnel. He urged air warriors to take pride in their duties and ensure they never become a weak link in the force’s chain.
The 94th Air Force Day celebrations at Hindan Air Base were attended by several former IAF chiefs. Fighter aircraft including Rafale, Su-30 MKI and Jaguar, along with helicopters such as LCH Prachand and ALH Dhruv, were put on static display at the air base. Critical weapon and air defence systems were also showcased.
