Varanasi, Sep 17: A major 'Seva Sankalp' campaign will be launched in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, on Thursday to mark his 76th birthday. Around 500 bikers riding 250 motorcycles will embark on a 22-day journey from Kashi to Vadnagar in Gujarat, the Prime Minister's birthplace.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will flag off the motorcycle rally at the Rudraksh International Cooperation and Convention Centre at noon.

As part of the opening ceremony, 51 bikers will reach Lalita Ghat at around 10 am. Amid performances by a damru group and the sound of conch shells, they will collect Gangajal and proceed to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to offer prayers and perform a ritual water offering.
The 22-day journey will cover 10 states, 193 districts, 773 tehsils and 1,159 villages. In Uttar Pradesh, the campaign is scheduled to pass through 50 districts.
An exhibition showcasing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in public life will also be organised at the Rudraksh Convention Centre.
Yogi Adityanath and Rajnath Singh are also scheduled to perform Maha Rudrabhishek at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple as part of the day's programme.
Several prominent leaders are expected to attend the events, including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister Chirag Paswan, Uttar Pradesh BJP president Pankaj Chaudhary and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.
The campaign, involving young bikers, is being organised as an outreach initiative to highlight the government's work and engage with younger generations, including millennials and Gen Z.
The event comes ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, as political parties step up their engagement with young voters.
