Panaji, Aug 17: A video showing actor Ashwin Mushran, known for films including Lage Raho Munna Bhai and Fashion, surrounded by locals following an alleged road accident in Goa has surfaced online.
The incident reportedly occurred around 12.30 pm on Sunday in the Cussman area of Quepem, Margao. According to people present at the scene, a car allegedly driven by 54-year-old Mushran collided with a two-wheeler carrying a father and his son. The father reportedly sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The exact circumstances leading to the accident and the sequence of events have not yet been established.

In the video, Mushran and his wife Rebecca are seen engaged in an argument with people gathered at the spot. The couple can also be seen blaming the motorcycle rider, following which a heated exchange reportedly took place between them and locals.
Local leader Amol Kanekar, who reportedly reached the spot after the accident, has alleged that Mushran was travelling in the wrong direction when the collision occurred. He further claimed that the actor and his wife left the scene without attending to the injured.
Kanekar also alleged that a piece of bone belonging to the injured victim was found lodged in the upper-right tyre fender of Mushran's car. The claim has not been independently verified.
Speaking to In Goa 247, Kanekar alleged that Mushran argued with people at the scene instead of apologising and later left to attend a party. He further alleged that Rebecca spat on him during the argument. This allegation has also not been independently verified.
Mushran, however, has indicated that the incident is being presented inaccurately. Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar about the video, the actor said, “This matter is something else. I am preparing a statement on this and will share it with you soon.”
No official statement from the police has been reported so far, while Mushran has not yet issued his detailed statement on the incident.
