Mumbai, Aug 13: Karan Johar is back as the host of The Traitors India Season 2, with the reality show returning to Prime Video for another round of strategy, deception and betrayal.

The second season premiered on Thursday, August 13, 2026, with the first three episodes now available for streaming. New episodes will be released every Thursday.

The first season introduced Indian audiences to the reality format in which contestants are divided into ‘Traitors’ and ‘Faithfuls’. While the Traitors secretly attempt to eliminate the Faithfuls, the remaining contestants must identify them and eliminate them before they are themselves targeted.

Season 2 features 21 celebrity contestants from the worlds of entertainment, television, digital media and other fields. Among the prominent names are Munawar Faruqui, Mallika Sherawat, Rhea Chakraborty and Ranveer Brar.

The show combines psychological gameplay, social strategy and deception, with contestants forming alliances while trying to determine whom they can trust.

Episode release schedule

The first three episodes were released together on August 13. The subsequent episodes are scheduled to arrive every Thursday on Prime Video.

With Karan Johar once again overseeing the game, the second season promises more secret alliances, intense round-table discussions, betrayals and eliminations as the contestants compete to outwit one another.
