Mumbai, Aug 13: More than six years after actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence, his sister Shweta Singh Kirti has once again alleged that there was foul play in his death, saying several questions surrounding the case remain unanswered.
In a recent interview, Shweta claimed that multiple psychics had told her about possible foul play in her brother's death. She questioned the circumstances surrounding the actor's death, including the post-mortem and the fact that his room was reportedly locked from inside.

“It’s been six years, we still do not know what really happened. What was the hurry for post mortem? He never used to lock his room. How was his room locked from inside? There are several unanswered questions,” Shweta said.
She maintained that something was not right and reiterated her belief that her brother was murdered.
Shweta also spoke about Sushant's state of mind following the death of his former manager Disha Salian, who died after falling from a high-rise building in Mumbai in June 2020. According to Shweta, Sushant had been deeply disturbed after her death and repeatedly said that “they” would not spare him.
“He was very much disturbed. He kept saying that they will not even spare him. I don’t know. Maybe he had some information he was about to come out with,” she said.
When asked whether Sushant was referring to people in Bollywood, Shweta said that the family did not know who he meant.
Shweta further said that she was no longer seeking closure from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), claiming that the family already believed there had been a cover-up.
“We do not need a closure from CBI now, we know what had happened. Whatever they are doing, maybe cover-up, we know in our hearts what happened. There was some kind of cover-up,” she said.
She added that the family now wanted to focus on preserving and celebrating Sushant's legacy rather than keeping the painful chapter open indefinitely.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020. While his death was initially investigated as a possible suicide, allegations of foul play subsequently emerged and the case was taken up by multiple investigating agencies. Shweta has continued to publicly seek answers regarding the circumstances surrounding her brother's death.
