Faridabad, Aug 4: A 29-year-old teacher was allegedly stabbed to death inside a private school in Haryana's Faridabad district on Monday after a masked man barged into the campus and attacked her with a knife. Police arrested the accused within two hours of the incident.
The victim, identified as Sandhya, was stabbed more than 20 times on her face, neck and chest in a brutal daylight attack that was captured on the school's CCTV cameras. A video of the incident later surfaced on social media.
According to police, the incident occurred at Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Sikrona village under the jurisdiction of Sector 58 police station. An FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway.

The accused, Amit (21), a resident of Kot village, was taken into custody shortly after the incident. During preliminary interrogation, he allegedly confessed to the murder.
Investigators said Amit had studied at a private school in the victim's village about two years ago, during which he became acquainted with Sandhya. Although she was unwilling to maintain contact with him, he allegedly continued to stalk and harass her.
Police said Sandhya had recently lodged a molestation complaint against Amit. The accused had reportedly apologised publicly at the time, but investigators believe he carried out the attack to avenge the complaint after she also warned him of legal action over his repeated harassment.
Sandhya, a resident of Dabua in Ballabgarh, was living with her husband in Firozpur Kalan and had been working as a teacher at the school in Sikrona village.
She had reached the school at around 9.30 am as part of her routine schedule. Shortly after classes began, the accused allegedly arrived at the school with his face covered by a white scarf and asked to meet her.
After school staff informed Sandhya, she went towards the main gate, where Amit allegedly attacked her with a knife. Eyewitnesses said he repeatedly stabbed her in the neck, chest, face and abdomen.
Despite her attempts to escape and cries for help, the accused continued the assault. Police said the CCTV footage showed him repeatedly stabbing the victim even after she collapsed on the ground.
School administrator Tejpal rushed to intervene but was forced to retreat after the accused allegedly threatened him with the knife.
"I shouted at him to stop, but he charged towards me with the knife. I tried to find something to defend myself, but by then he had already stabbed her several times and fled," Tejpal said.
He added that the attacker arrived on a motorcycle without a registration number plate. After the assault, Sandhya was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Police said the accused is being questioned and will be produced before a local court. Further investigation is in progress to establish all the circumstances surrounding the murder.
