Mangaluru, Aug 3: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), is all set to host Aloysian Fest 2026, a one-day National-Level Fest for Pre-University students, on Saturday, August 8 at 9:00 am at the LF Rasquinha Hall, LCRI Block.
The fest will be inaugurated in the presence of distinguished dignitaries and esteemed personalities. The chief guest for the inauguration will be Sharan Chilimbi, content creator, while the guest of honour will be Athish S Shetty, recipient of the National Award as a child artist. The programme will be presided over by Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, vice chancellor, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University).
This year’s fest will feature two major categories of events:
1. Festival of fests – 23 academic, tech, and creative events
General / Open to All: General quiz, debate, mock press, product launch, fashion show, sports quiz, reels making, photo & videography, cooking without fire
Commerce: Management roadies, business manager, business quiz, shark tank, best management team, marketing, corporate walk
Science: Science rangoli, science standpoint, science escape room, synapse (science quiz), science exhibition
Commerce & science: IT manager, coding, gaming
2. Cultural fest – 7 vibrant cultural events
Bharathanatyam, Folk song (Solo), mehendi, trashion, wealth out of waste, theme-based performance, and science exhibition.
With participation expected from pre-university colleges across India, Aloysian Fest 2026 promises to be a vibrant platform under the theme ‘Nurturing Talent, Celebrating Excellence’.
The valedictory programme will be held the same evening at 3:30 pm at the LF Rasquinha Hall. The chief guest for the occasion will be Dion Monteiro, director - Rohan Corporation. The programme will be presided over by Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, vice chancellor, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University).
Prizes and mementoes for individual events will be distributed during the valedictory. The best performing college will be honoured with the overall championship trophy, while the second-best institution will receive the runner-up trophy.
