Mangaluru, Jul 9: With the blessings of the founder chancellor of Srinivas University, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, the Institute of Aviation Studies organized its Orientation Programme 2026 for the newly admitted students at Vaikunta Hall, Hotel Srinivas, Mangaluru, on July 9.

The programme was presided over by Dr A Srinivas Rao, chancellor, Srinivas University, and president, A Shama Rao Foundation. He spoke about the rapid growth of the aviation industry and the increasing demand for skilled human resources. He encouraged students to focus not only on academic excellence but also on personality development and employability skills. He also announced that the institute would soon introduce cabin crew training and virtual flight simulation certificate programmes, which would provide students with additional practical exposure and enhance their career prospects.

Srinivas University board of governors trustee member, Vijayalakshmi R Rao, welcomed the students to the Srinivas University family and advised them to utilize the opportunities provided by the university and achieve their dreams through hard work.

Srinivas University board of governors trustee member, Prof Er A Mitra S Rao, administered the oath and fondly remembered the vision of founder chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, stating that although he is no longer physically present, his ideals continue to inspire every student and faculty member. She emphasized that students should remain disciplined, respect their teachers, maintain close communication with their parents, and make the best use of the opportunities provided by the university. She also encouraged parents to stay connected with the faculty and support the institution in shaping their children's future.

Srinivas University board of governors trustee member, A Meghana S Rao, motivated the students to pursue aviation with passion, dedication, and discipline. She encouraged them to remain curious, ask questions, continuously expand their knowledge, value punctuality, and maintain the highest standards of professionalism. She reminded students that success in aviation demands commitment, self-discipline, and a lifelong passion for learning.

Srinivas University registrar development Dr Ajay Kumar, congratulated the students for choosing the right university and the right career path. He highlighted the growing employment opportunities in the aviation industry and urged the students to utilize the next few years to learn, explore, and develop into competent professionals capable of achieving success in their careers.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Dr Pavithra Kumari, ean, Institute of Aviation Studies. Prof Maithri presented a comprehensive introduction to the aviation programmes. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof Varshitha, and the event was compered by Prof Bhagyashree and Prof Aishwarya.
