New Delhi, Jul 8: Yamaha has launched the Aerox-E electric scooter in India at an introductory price of Rs 2.82 lakh, making it the company's most expensive two-wheeler currently on sale in the country.
The Aerox-E is Yamaha's second electric two-wheeler in India and brings the sporty styling of the petrol-powered Aerox 155 into the electric mobility segment.

The scooter is powered by a 9.5 kW electric motor producing 48 Nm of torque, paired with dual detachable 1.5 kWh battery packs. Yamaha claims the high-energy battery cells deliver an IDC-certified range of 117 km on a single charge, making the scooter suitable for daily urban commuting.
The Aerox-E has a kerb weight of 139 kg, around 13 kg heavier than its petrol counterpart.
To suit different riding conditions, the scooter offers Eco, Standard and Power riding modes, along with a Boost mode that provides a temporary increase in power for quicker acceleration and overtaking.
Braking duties are handled by a front disc brake with ABS and a rear disc brake, complementing the scooter's performance-oriented character.
In terms of design, the Aerox-E closely resembles the petrol-powered Aerox 155, retaining its sharp bodywork, twin LED headlamps and LED tail lamp.
Feature highlights include a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, replacing the LCD console available on the petrol version.
The Aerox-E is initially available in Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai.
With its premium pricing, sporty styling and claimed 117 km range, Yamaha is targeting buyers seeking a high-performance electric scooter with advanced features for urban use.
