Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi

New Delhi, Jun 20: Classic motorcycle maker Royal Enfield has officially entered the electric vehicle segment with the launch of its new sub-brand ‘Flying Flea’. The company has started deliveries of the first batch of its Flying Flea C6 electric motorcycle.

Combining a retro-classic design with modern technology, the Flying Flea C6 is expected to create a new space in the premium electric motorcycle segment.

The electric bike comes equipped with a 3.91 kWh battery pack and offers a riding range of around 154 km on a single full charge, according to the company. The battery can charge from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in around 65 minutes, while a full charge takes approximately 2 hours and 16 minutes.

Historic name gets a new identity

The ‘Flying Flea’ name has been inspired by Royal Enfield’s historic lightweight motorcycle used during World War II. The original 125cc model was developed for military purposes, and the company has revived the iconic name for its electric vehicle lineup.

Retro design with modern features

The Flying Flea C6 features a round retro-style headlamp, TFT touchscreen display, 19-inch alloy wheels and a keyless start system.

The bike can be switched on and off using a PIN, while several functions can also be controlled through a dedicated mobile application.

Powerful electric motor

The motorcycle is powered by a PMSM electric motor that produces 15.4 kW power and 60 Nm torque. It comes with a belt drive system and rear monoshock suspension aimed at providing a comfortable riding experience.

Price

The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 has been priced at around Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

With its blend of heritage-inspired styling and future-ready electric technology, Royal Enfield’s new EV offering has attracted attention among motorcycle enthusiasts.
