Udupi, Jun 20: A special training programme on Computational Thinking (CT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) was organized for teachers at Madhava Kripa School, Manipal, to equip educators with emerging technological skills and innovative teaching methodologies.

The programme witnessed the participation of 150 teachers from Madhava Kripa School and 50 teachers from Manipal School, Mangaluru.

The resource person for the session, Vasudevan Natarajan, founder of Super Teacher Edu Reforms Pvt Ltd, delivered an insightful presentation on the growing importance of technology in education. He explained the concepts and practical applications of computational thinking and artificial intelligence and highlighted how these tools can be effectively integrated into the teaching-learning process to enhance classroom engagement and student outcomes.

Presiding over the programme, Sreedhara R Pai, administrative officer of the academy of general education, emphasized that such training initiatives are essential for the professional development of teachers. He noted that continuous upskilling enables educators to meet the evolving demands of technology-driven education and prepare students for the future.

The programme was compered by teacher Pratheeksha. Savitha welcomed the gathering, while Linet proposed the vote of thanks.

Among those present were principal Swati Kulkarni, vice-principals Kasturi Kamat and Jyothi Santhosh, headmistress Asha Nayak, Srilatha Alva, principal of Manipal School, Mangaluru, and members of the teaching faculty from both institutions.
