Mangaluru, Jun 20: The Red Cross Unit of Milagres College of Nursing organized a first aid awareness programme on June 19 at the College Auditorium. The programme was conducted for the faculty members of Milagres Central School with the objective of enhancing their knowledge and skills regarding basic first aid measures during emergencies.
A total of 20 faculty members participated in the programme. The session was handled by Jyothi Cutinha, vice principal and assistant professor, Milagres College of Nursing, and Diana D’Lima, assistant lecturer, Milagres College of Nursing.









The resource persons provided valuable information on the importance of first aid, immediate care during emergencies, management of common injuries, bleeding, burns, fractures, choking, and basic life-saving measures. Demonstrations and practical explanations were given to help the participants understand the correct first aid procedures and their application in real-life situations.
The participants actively engaged in the session, clarified their doubts, and appreciated the practical approach adopted by the resource persons. The programme successfully enhanced awareness and preparedness among the school faculty to respond effectively during emergency situations.
The programme concluded with a note of gratitude to the resource persons and all the participants for their enthusiastic involvement and cooperation, making the awareness programme informative and successful.
