Mopa, Jun 18: Mopa Airport Police have arrested a second Afghanistan national in connection with an alleged fake Indian passport racket, as investigations continue into the fraudulent procurement of travel documents.
The accused, identified as Kanish Singh alias Manish Singh (29), is alleged to have obtained an Indian passport by using forged identity documents and falsely claiming Indian citizenship.

According to police, the accused secured the passport by submitting fabricated identity records to the concerned authorities. Investigators suspect the case may be linked to a wider network involved in the illegal acquisition of Indian passports and other official documents.
Kanish Singh has been taken into police custody, and further investigations are underway to ascertain the full extent of the alleged fraud and identify others who may have been involved.
The arrest follows the earlier detention of another Afghanistan national in the same case, indicating a broader probe into the use of forged documents and illegal identity procurement.
Police said efforts are ongoing to uncover the entire network behind the racket and determine whether more individuals were involved in facilitating the fraudulent passport applications.
