Mangaluru, Jun 12: The parent orientation programme for the academic year 2026-2027 was conducted successfully on June 6, at SCS Preschool, SCS Riverside Campus, Long Lane, Urwa.
The highlight of the programme was the expert panel discussion on the theme 'Little hearts, bright futures: Nurturing happy, healthy, and safe childhoods in a fast-paced world', comprising distinguished professionals from diverse fields. The panelists were Dr Anil Shetty, MD paediatrics professor and head of the department of paediatrics, Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru, Kaneez Fathima a parenting coach and NLP master practitioner, advocate Sridevi R Amin a practising advocate in Mangaluru, and a legal advisor for SCS Group of Institutions, Dr Sukhanya VP associate professor, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Mangaluru, and Naina Sequeira, an educator and a jolly phonics trainer. The panelists shared valuable insights drawn from their expertise, addressing topics related to children's physical health, emotional well-being, positive parenting practices, education, nutrition, child safety, and legal awareness.

























































The discussion provided parents with practical strategies to support their children's growth and development in today's rapidly changing world. The panelists also emphasized the importance of collaboration between parents and educators in creating a nurturing and secure environment for children.
The programme was highly informative and enriching, offering parents an opportunity to gain expert guidance and a deeper understanding of the various factors that contribute to a child's overall development. The valuable inputs shared by the panelists were greatly appreciated by all those present.
