Mumbai, May 20: The teaser of the upcoming web series Pritam and Pedro was released on Wednesday, offering audiences a glimpse into a quirky and unpredictable world filled with humour, confusion and eccentric characters.
The series features a strong ensemble cast including Arshad Warsi, Vir Hirani, Vikrant Massey, Boman Irani and Mona Singh.
The teaser introduces the unusual partnership between Pritam, played by Vir Hirani, and Pedro, portrayed by Arshad Warsi, hinting at a chaotic yet entertaining relationship between two completely opposite personalities. Vikrant Massey’s character Martin further adds mystery and intrigue to the storyline, while the supporting cast appears to bring additional layers of comedy and emotional depth.
The show marks the streaming production debut of acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, known for blending humour with emotional storytelling. The project also brings together Hirani’s signature warmth with the directorial vision of Avinash Arun.
While the teaser keeps the main plot tightly under wraps, it presents a vibrant and rooted world filled with quirky situations, emotional moments and unpredictable twists.
Speaking earlier about the series, Rajkumar Hirani said he has always enjoyed stories where contrasting individuals are forced to navigate unexpected situations together.
“I’ve always enjoyed stories where very different people are forced to come together and navigate life in unexpected ways. Pritam and Pedro have a lot of humour, warmth and madness in that sense,” he said.
He also noted that the long-format storytelling format allowed the creators to spend more time developing the characters and their journeys.
“The long-format space gave us the opportunity to spend more time with the characters and really explore their journey. It’s been an exciting experience, and I’m happy to partner with JioHotstar for it,” Hirani added.
