Bush fire near Raj Ghat bus depot brought under control, no injuries reported

New Delhi, Apr 12: A fire broke out in bushes near the Raj Ghat bus depot in the national capital on Sunday afternoon, officials from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.

According to officials, a distress call was received at around 1.35 pm, following which 11 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to contain the blaze.

Preliminary findings suggest that the fire may have been triggered by a discarded cigarette butt, though the exact cause is yet to be confirmed.

Authorities said the fire was brought under control in time, preventing it from spreading further. An investigation is currently underway to ascertain the precise cause of the incident.
