Brahmavar: Little Rock Indian School holds civil services orientation camp

Brahmavar, Apr 8: Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar holds a three-day residential civil service coaching camp for about 150 students from class 7 to 10.

The camp is being conducted by 'BHAAVIKA', an NGO founded by Dr Jiji Thomson, former chief secretary of the state of Kerala. This not-for-profit organisation in association with Little Rock for the first time organized this camp, to bring awareness among students and parents about the challenges and opportunities offered in IAS, IPS, IFS and other civil service.

Inaugurating the camp, professor Mathew C Ninan, director of Little Rock said, “This is a great advantage to the young students to listen to serving and retired civil servants and learn more about Civil Services and how to prepare for all kinds of competitive tests.”

Dr Jiji Thomson introduced the entire programme and its objectives. Dr Anup Poojari, IAS and former D C of erstwhile DK District also addressed the students.

Dr John Thomas, principal welcomed the gathering. Bhagya Rajeshwari compered the programme.
