Jhajjar, Apr 7: Abhay, who gained widespread attention as “IIT Baba” during the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, has tied the knot and recently visited his ancestral town with his wife Pritika.

The couple’s arrival in Jhajjar drew large crowds, with locals gathering to catch a glimpse and interact with him. According to reports, the visit was also aimed at completing KYC formalities for a bank account.

During his stay, Abhay spent time at the chamber of his father, advocate Karn Singh Grewal, located in the tehsil complex. Visitors thronged the office, with many taking selfies and reconnecting with him, recalling his earlier days.

Speaking to the media, Abhay said his wife Pritika hails from Bengaluru and that both share a common vision for the future.

On being asked about meeting his parents, he said he would do so, but added that at times, “larger responsibilities towards a bigger family” may require stepping away from one’s immediate family.

Sharing his future plans, Abhay revealed that work is underway to establish “Shri University,” an institution aimed at integrating academic education with spiritual knowledge systems. He said the proposed university would focus on both conventional teaching and practices related to meditation and sadhana.

He emphasised the importance of clarity in purpose and distancing oneself from worldly distractions for spiritual growth. At present, he said, he is residing in Himachal Pradesh.
