Chadha rebuts criticism, shares video on Punjab issues in Parliament

New Delhi, Apr 5: Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha on Sunday responded strongly to criticism that he had failed to raise Punjab-related issues in Parliament, sharing a video highlighting his interventions on key concerns affecting the state.

In the video, Chadha is seen raising issues such as declining underground water levels, matters related to Bhagat Singh, and other Punjab-centric topics.

Taking to X, Chadha addressed critics within the Aam Aadmi Party, stating, “To my colleagues in AAP who were forced to issue videos saying that ‘Raghav Chadha failed to raise Punjab's issues in Parliament’, here is a small trailer — ‘Picture Abhi Baaki Hai’.”

He emphasised that Punjab is deeply personal to him, saying it is his home, duty, soil and soul.

The development comes amid allegations from within the party that Chadha avoided raising his voice against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Centre, instead engaging in “soft PR”.

Dismissing the claims as “lies”, Chadha asserted that his focus in Parliament has been on raising public issues constructively rather than creating disruption.
