Rahul Gandhi invokes Zubeen Garg, targets Himanta Sarma at Assam rally

Daijiworld Media Network - Biswanath

Biswanath, Apr 5: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said his party’s philosophy reflects that of celebrated musician Zubeen Garg, who dedicated his life to uniting the people of Assam.

Addressing an election rally in Assam’s Biswanath district, Gandhi alleged that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is the “most corrupt CM” in the country and warned of legal action after the Congress forms the government in the state.

“Zubeen Garg worked his entire life to unite people of Assam, he never misbehaved with anyone. The Congress philosophy is also like that, to spread love against hatred,” Gandhi said.

He further accused the BJP government led by Sarma of spreading hatred among communities.

“Let him speak for some more days. After that, the Congress will form the government in Assam and legal action will follow even if he asks for forgiveness,” Gandhi added.
