Stampede at Nalanda temple leaves 8 dead, several injured

Nalanda, Mar 31: At least eight people were killed and eight others injured in a stampede that broke out during prayers at Sheetla Temple in Maghra village under Deepnagar police station limits in Bihar on Tuesday.

According to reports, the incident occurred in Nalanda district when a large number of devotees gathered for prayers, leading to overcrowding and panic at the temple premises. The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The stampede took place at Sheetla Temple under the jurisdiction of Deepnagar police station. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
