SJEC team delivers impressive performances at VTU State Level Athletic Championship

Mangaluru, Mar 29: SJEC men’s & women’s team secured 2nd runner up in overall VTU State Level Athletic Championship and SJEC women’s team secured 2nd runner up in the VTU State Level Athletic Championship held at Kalpataru Institute of Technology, Tiptur from March 26 to 29.

The teams showcased remarkable skills and determination under the guidance of Vaneesha V Rodrigues, physical education director (PED), Sudheer, Assistant PED.

Individual Achievements: Kushi Salyan (IV Sem ECE) – 1st Place, Hammer Throw, Mounish H Shetty (II Sem MBA) – 1st Place, Long Jump, Anagha K A (IV Sem CSE) – 1st place, 400m Hurdles, Thanvi S (IV Sem ECE) – 2nd place, 400m, G J Chithara Hirinja (VI Sem ECE) – 3rd place, 100m Hurdles

Team Achievements:

4x400m Women’s Relay – 2nd place team members:
• Earl D'Souza (VI Sem ECE)
• Thanvi S (IV Sem ECE)
• Jia Menezes (VI Sem CSE)
• Anagha K A (IV Sem CSE)

4x400m Mixed Relay – 2nd place team members:
• Earl D'Souza (VI Sem ECE)
• Thanvi S (IV Sem ECE)
• Gagan G. Bajpe (IV Sem ME)
• Shreepathi (IV Sem ME)

Overall Achievements:
• SJEC Women’s Team – II Runner-Up, VTU State Level Athletic Women’s Championship
• SJEC Men & Women Team – II Runner-Up, Overall VTU State Level Athletic Championship
