Udupi: Externed individual flees as police attempt to serve order

Udupi, Mar 29: A man facing an externment order managed to escape in his car after noticing police personnel who had arrived to serve him the official notice at Hoode in Paduthonse village.

Karkala Town police sub-inspector (PSI) Shivakumar had received reliable information regarding the whereabouts of the individual, identified as Mohammed Faizal, near the Nagabrahma Babbuswamy Daivasthana at Hoode. The officer, along with his team, reached the spot to formally hand over the externment order.

Upon spotting the police, Faizal, who was seated in his car, immediately attempted to flee. In a desperate bid to escape, he reversed the vehicle at high speed, crashing into a nearby coconut tree on the roadside before speeding away from the scene.

A case has been registered at the Malpe police station regarding the incident, and a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the accused.
