Goa’s ‘Checked by Doctor’ drive reaches 40,000 women, boosts health awareness

Panaji, Mar 28: The ‘Checked by Doctor’ campaign has witnessed a strong and encouraging response across Goa, with nearly 40,000 women benefiting from the initiative so far.

Launched between March 8 and March 31, the campaign aims to provide essential health screenings while spreading awareness about the importance of early diagnosis and preventive care among women.

Chief minister Pramod Sawant highlighted that the enthusiastic participation reflects a growing consciousness around women’s health in the state. He also praised the commitment of doctors and nurses who played a key role in reaching communities and delivering vital healthcare services at the grassroots level.

The initiative underscores the importance of accessible healthcare and proactive health management, especially for women, through regular check-ups and awareness efforts.
