Sattari, Mar 26: Severe gusty winds lashed parts of Sattari taluka, leaving villages like Surungli and Shirsode badly affected and causing widespread destruction.

The intense weather conditions led to significant losses in agriculture, with banana plantations, areca nut trees, and crops such as jackfruit, mango, and cashew suffering heavy damage.

Several houses in the affected villages were also partially damaged due to the strong winds, adding to the distress of local residents.

The situation was further aggravated as essential services were disrupted, with both electricity and water supply cut off in the aftermath of the storm, leaving villagers facing considerable hardship.
