Chennai, Mar 26: The makers of the upcoming action entertainer Kara have unveiled actor Prithvi Pandiarajan’s character look, introducing him as Murugesan in the film headlined by Dhanush.
The announcement was made by Vels Film International on social media, teasing the release of the #FacesOfKara video. The film is directed by Vignesh Raja and is slated for release on April 30.
The production team has been steadily revealing characters from the film. Recently, Jayaram was introduced as Muthu Selvan, while Karunas and Suraj Venjaramoodu were revealed as Kasi Maayan and Bharathan, respectively. Actress Mamitha Baiju will be seen as Selli, and veteran filmmaker K S Ravikumar plays Kandhasaami in the film.

The title Kara was officially announced during the Pongal celebrations earlier this year, along with a striking poster featuring Dhanush in an intense avatar. The film, initially referred to as D54, is described as an emotionally driven suspense thriller.
Backed by producer Ishari K Ganesh, the film boasts a strong technical crew. Cinematography is handled by Theni Eswar, editing by Sreejith Sarang, and music is composed by National Award-winning G V Prakash.
The story has been co-written by Vignesh Raja and Alfred Prakash, the duo behind the critically acclaimed thriller Por Thozhil. With a strong ensemble cast and experienced crew, Kara is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Tamil releases this summer.
