Hyderabad, Mar 22: Actor Naga Chaitanya has expressed gratitude after receiving the Telangana government’s Gaddar Film Award 2025 for Best Actor for his performance in the film Thandel.
Taking to social media, the actor said he was “truly honoured” to receive the recognition, describing the film as a deeply special journey. He thanked the cast and crew for their support in bringing the story to life.
Chaitanya also extended his thanks to Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and the awards committee for the honour.

The award was presented by actor Ram Charan.
Earlier, veteran actor Nagarjuna congratulated his son, calling his performance in Thandel “stellar” and deserving of recognition. He also thanked the state government for instituting the awards and honouring his father, Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
The awards, named after revolutionary poet Gaddar, were revived by the Telangana government after a gap of 14 years, replacing the earlier Nandi Awards for excellence in Telugu cinema.
