Mumbai, Mar 17: Veteran actor Navnindra Behl, known for her memorable roles in Ishqbaaaz and Queen, passed away at the age of 76. The news was confirmed by her son, filmmaker Kanu Behl, who shared an emotional tribute on social media, remembering her as his guide, mentor, and source of unwavering love.
“My Titan. My faith. Love. Guide. Mentor. My heart. Go well, mumma. Until you birth me again. My eyes shall always seek that irrepressible smile, that warm chuckle, that bear hug, those burning curious eyes. Forever alight. Thank you for lighting my soul,” Kanu wrote. The post drew condolences from filmmakers including Anurag Kashyap and other members of the film fraternity.

Navnindra Behl was married to veteran actor-director Lalit Behl, who passed away in 2021 due to COVID-19-related complications. She reportedly began performing on stage at just three years old and went on to appear in notable films such as Maachis directed by Gulzar, Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! by Dibakar Banerjee, and Queen starring Kangana Ranaut. She also acted in international projects including The Pride and The Guru.
Television audiences remember her for playing the grandmother of Nakuul Mehta’s character in Dil Boley Oberoi and Ishqbaaaz. She also featured in shows like Viji and Sadaa-E-Vaadi, leaving an enduring mark on both film and TV.
