Alwar, Mar 12: An elderly woman was allegedly dragged to the ground and assaulted by her neighbours following a dispute over fencing in front of her house in Alwar in Uttar Pradesh.

The victim, identified as Narmada, was reportedly attacked after a group of neighbours barged into her house on Wednesday. According to police, the accused allegedly kicked and slapped her, twisted her arm and dragged her onto the street during the assault. She reportedly fell unconscious after sustaining serious injuries.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed near the house, and the footage has since gone viral on social media.

Police said the incident is believed to be linked to a year-long dispute between the woman and her neighbours over fencing in front of the plot. On the day of the incident, three to four men allegedly entered the house along with their pet dog and began abusing the occupants.

At the time of the incident, Narmada and her grandson Nishant were present in the house. When they came out, the men allegedly began assaulting and verbally abusing them. The attackers reportedly threw Narmada to the ground and dragged her outside the house.

Hearing the commotion, local residents gathered at the spot and raised objections, prompting the accused to flee from the scene.

Family members later informed the police about the incident. Police personnel reached the spot and initiated an investigation. Authorities said efforts are underway to identify and trace the attackers with the help of CCTV footage.
