Mangaluru, Mar 7: Ladyhill English Medium Higher Primary School (ICSE) celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 with heartfelt admiration, embracing this year’s inspiring theme, “Give to Gain,” beautifully displayed on the backdrop along with the powerful message, “Empowering Women, Empowering Humanity.”
The vibrant programme was thoughtfully planned and gracefully conducted by the students of Grades 3A and 3B, whose confidence and dedication added charm and meaning to the celebration.

The event commenced with a solemn prayer, invoking god’s blessings upon all women and seeking strength, wisdom, and grace. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by our esteemed chief guest, principal Sr Jenifer Moras AC, and vice principal Lavita Correa, along with the teachers present, symbolizing the light of knowledge and hope.
A graceful welcome dance set a joyful tone for the programme. The welcome address followed, during which the chief guest and vice principal were honoured with green tokens symbolising growth and gratitude as a gesture of appreciation and respect.
The students then highlighted the importance of Women’s Day, emphasising the remarkable contributions of women in every sphere of life.
A melodious song dedicated to women and powerful dances portraying their perseverance and inner strength filled the atmosphere with inspiration. A meaningful skit beautifully depicted the multifaceted roles of women, reflecting their profound influence in shaping families and society.
A creative performance presented the acronym W.O.M.E.N, highlighting admirable qualities that define true womanhood.
One of the most inspiring segments showcased great women personalities who transformed the world through their courage, dedication, and achievements. Students enacted their roles and presented a short video that inspired and enlightened the audience.
The highlight of the celebration was the inspiring address by our respected chief guest, principal Sr Jenifer Moras AC, who spoke passionately about the significance of Women’s Day, the invaluable role of women, especially mothers, and the importance of respecting, protecting, and uplifting girls in society. Her message deeply resonated with the students and staff alike.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the dignitaries, teachers, students, and everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration.
