Nainital, Mar 7: In a terrifying incident, a 22-year-old woman from Delhi alleged that a cab driver attempted to molest her late Thursday night in Uttarakhand’s Nainital.
The driver was reportedly intoxicated, and to escape, the woman jumped out of the taxi and spent the night hiding in a forest.
Police have launched a search for the unidentified driver and a lookout is underway. The woman had hired the cab from Haldwani to Nainital around midnight and was travelling alone, officials said.
Authorities have urged anyone with information about the cab or driver to come forward to aid the investigation.
