Mangaluru, Mar 4: St Aloysius University, School of Commerce, in collaboration with KVC Academy, successfully organised the Professional Day programme with great enthusiasm and academic spirit on February 26, at the Eric Mathias Hall, University Campus.

The programme was organised with the objective of celebrating professionalism, mentorship, ethical practice, and academic excellence, while providing students an opportunity to interact with distinguished academic leaders and industry professionals.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants. It began on a solemn note with a prayer, invoking divine blessings for the success of the programme. The dignitaries were then formally escorted to the dais, marking the official commencement of the event.

The programme featured inspiring addresses from eminent dignitaries. CA Kiran Vasant shared valuable mentoring insights and guided students on building professional character and navigating career challenges with resilience and integrity. Dr Manuel Tauro, dean, offered thoughtful reflections on academic stewardship and emphasised the role of educators in nurturing responsible and ethical professionals. Dr Mamatha, director of the programme, highlighted the importance of vision, institutional growth, and maintaining professional relevance in higher education.

The vice chancellor, Dr Praveen Martis SJ, delivered an inspiring address emphasising holistic education, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence. His words enriched the gathering with wisdom, encouragement, and a renewed commitment towards professional integrity and excellence.

Felicitation ceremony

A special felicitation ceremony was conducted to honour students for their distinct achievement in professional education. The ceremony symbolised gratitude and respect for their continuous pursuit of excellence. In the presence of dignitaries and approximately 250 students, 43 students were felicitated for their remarkable achievements:

• 18 students for clearing CA Foundation
• 24 students for clearing CA Intermediate
• 1 student for completing CA Finals

Interactive Q & A session

One of the most engaging segments of the programme was the interactive session led by CA Shashidar Pai. The session provided students with practical insights into the professional world, examination strategies, career planning, and ethical responsibilities. The question-and-answer session enabled students to clarify their doubts and gain valuable guidance for their future careers. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, organisers, and students for their active participation and support, marking the event as a meaningful and memorable celebration of professionalism and academic excellence.
