Panaji, Mar 3: A decomposed body of an unidentified man was found in bushes near Caranzalem beach on Tuesday after a passerby noticed a foul smell and alerted the authorities.

Police personnel rushed to the spot and secured the area. The body, which was in an advanced state of decomposition, is yet to be identified.

Officials said further investigation is underway to ascertain the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.
