Parse, Feb 28: In a heartwarming gesture, MLA Jit Arolkar personally funded a complex heart surgery that saved the life of four-year-old Arav Narvekar from Parse village.

Arav was born with a rare congenital condition in which his heart was positioned on the right side of his chest, leading to severe health complications and stunted growth. Doctors advised an urgent and intricate surgery to reposition the heart to the left side — a procedure that involved significant medical risk and a heavy financial burden.

Coming from an economically weak background, Arav’s family was unable to arrange the required funds. With few options left, they approached Arolkar seeking assistance.

Responding without hesitation, the MLA stepped in and bore the entire cost of the surgery. The operation was successfully performed at a hospital in Belagavi, giving the child a new lease on life.

Doctors confirmed that the surgery was successful and that Arav is recovering steadily.
