Mangaluru, Feb 25: The Department of MBA, School of Business and Management, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), AIMIT Centre, organised a national seminar on “Investor behaviour and personal financial planning in the digital era” on February 24, at the Arthur Shenoi Auditorium, AIMIT Centre, Beeri. The seminar saw the enthusiastic participation of 260 MBA students, reflecting a growing interest in financial literacy and digital investment practices among young learners.
The seminar featured eminent resource persons Yvonil D’Souza, personal investment services professional, senior Amal, senior branch manager, Franklin Templeton Asset Management (India) Pvt Ltd and Johan Blancyn Pinto, mutual fund distributor who provided practical insights into wealth creation, structured investing, and risk management.





The sessions collectively emphasised the importance of beginning the journey toward financial independence early through disciplined saving and systematic investing. Students were encouraged to adopt goal-oriented investment strategies, maintain a balanced debt–equity allocation, and periodically enhance their SIP contributions to accelerate long-term wealth creation. The speakers also highlighted the role of diversification across asset classes, the impact of inflation on purchasing power, and the power of compounding in building sustainable financial growth.
In addition, significant attention was given to risk protection through appropriate health and term life insurance planning, ensuring financial security and income protection. Participants were guided to evaluate financial products critically and make informed decisions based on clear objectives and long-term goals.
Overall, the seminar successfully strengthened students’ understanding of investor behaviour and personal financial planning, inspiring them to adopt disciplined, structured, and informed financial practices in the digital era.
