Chennai, Feb 12: The makers of director Dijo Jose Antony’s much-anticipated Malayalam action drama Pallichattambi, starring Tovino Thomas, have unveiled the film’s first single, Kaattuchembakam, delighting fans ahead of its worldwide release.
Sharing the track on social media, Tovino Thomas announced the release of the romantic number, describing it as a musical milestone in the journey of the film. The song, composed by Jakes Bejoy, features lyrics by Kaithapram and vocals by Vishal Mishra and Aavani Malhar. Picturised on Tovino Thomas and Kayadu Lohar, the melody captures the emotional undercurrent of the narrative and offers a glimpse into the film’s romantic arc.

The song release comes shortly after the team wrapped up shooting. Director Dijo Jose Antony marked the completion of filming with a social media post, reflecting on the journey from the first schedule in Thodupuzha to the final patchwork shot across multiple states. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on April 9, 2026.
Expectations around Pallichattambi have been steadily building, especially after the unveiling of Kayadu Lohar’s first-look poster. The actress, who gained recognition for her performance in the Tamil hit Dragon, plays the female lead opposite Tovino Thomas.
Backed by World Wide Films and C Qube Bros Entertainments, the film promises to present Tovino in a striking new avatar. Set against the backdrop of the 1950s and 1960s, the period drama is expected to blend action, romance, and intense storytelling. The project is being produced by Noufal and Brijeesh for World Wide Films, along with Chanukya Chaithanya Charan under the C Qube Bros Entertainments banner. It will be released in five languages, including Malayalam.
The ensemble cast also features Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam, Prashanth Alexander, and several other noted actors.
On the technical side, the script is penned by S. Suresh Babu, with cinematography by Tijo Tomy and editing by Sreejith Sarang. The production design is handled by Dileep Nath, while costumes are designed by Manjusha Radhakrishnan. Sound design is by Sync Cinema, with art direction by Rajesh Menon and casting by Binoy Nambala. Renit Raj and Kiran Raphael serve as chief associate directors, and Meghasyam and Thanzeer are the associate producers.
With its first song striking a romantic chord, Pallichattambi appears set to be one of the major Malayalam releases to watch out for in 2026.
