Stress management and exam preparation training program at Nithya Sahaya Matha High School

Mangaluru, Feb 9: With the objective of strengthening students’ mental well-being and reducing examination fear, a Stress Management and Exam Preparation Training Program was successfully organized for the 10th standard students of Nithya Sahaya Matha High School. The program was jointly conducted by Nithya Sahaya Matha High School and Dr. Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital, Arkula.

The session was led by Dr Survesh Kumar, consultant psychiatrist at Dr Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital, who explained the root causes of examination stress and shared practical methods to manage stress effectively. He also guided students on improving concentration, time management, positive thinking, emotional balance, and effective study techniques. The importance of healthy sleep, proper nutrition, regular breaks, and self-confidence during exam preparation was also emphasized.

The program was conducted under the guidance and support of
Sr Luciana Fernandes, headmistress – Nithya Sahaya Matha High School;
Sr Lucy Miranda, headmistress – Nithya Sahaya Matha English Medium High School
Sr Pramila Almeida, assistant teacher and counsellor.

Students from both Kannada and English medium sections enthusiastically participated in the session and benefited from the useful guidance and study tips shared during the program. The training played an important role in building students’ confidence and helping them approach examinations with a calm and positive mindset.

The program concluded with an encouraging message that students should face examinations with discipline, confidence, healthy habits, and a positive attitude. Such awareness and guidance programs are highly beneficial in shaping a bright and successful future for students.
