Kundapur: ‘Budget Analysis–2026’ competition for MBA students held at MITK

Kundapur, Feb 9: The Department of Management Studies (MBA) of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology (MITK), successfully organized a competition on ‘Budget Analysis–2026’ for MBA students on the college campus.

College principal Dr Ramakrishna Hegde attended the programme and addressed the students, extending his best wishes to the participants. He noted that such academic activities enhance students’ knowledge and build their confidence.

The objective of the competition was to create a deeper understanding of the Union Budget 2026 among students. Participants presented detailed analyses on the budget’s revenue–expenditure structure, allocations to various sectors, and its economic implications.

The competition was evaluated by Dr Subrahmanya, professor of Economics at Government First Grade College, Kota. He appreciated the analytical approach and presentation skills of the students and offered valuable suggestions. Assistant professor Paricharan from the MBA department served as the internal evaluator.

Students who performed well were honoured with winner and runner-up prizes, including cash awards and trophies.

The programme was held in the presence of MBA head of department Dr Suchitra Poojari and other faculty members.

First-year MBA student Shwetha delivered the vote of thanks. The event was compered by first year MBA student Aditi.
