Mangaluru, Feb 8: St Theresa’s School marked a vibrant and memorable day by celebrating the junior (primary) investiture ceremony and Annual Sports Day on February 7 at the school main ground.
The programme was conducted with great enthusiasm, discipline, and youthful energy, befitting the spirit of the primary section.













































































The event was graced by the chief guest, Prathvi D’Souza, professor of Mathematics, Expert College. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of school correspondent Sr Shaila, principal Sr Lourdes, vice principal Sr Vidya, and PTA vice president Collette Cabral, along with staff members, parents, and students.
The programme commenced with the chief guest being escorted by a guard of honour, followed by a solemn prayer song and a warm welcome address. The junior investiture ceremony began with an impressive march past by the four houses, reflecting discipline, coordination, and teamwork. This was followed by the handing over of leadership badges, the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected junior leaders, and the singing of the school anthem, instilling a sense of pride and responsibility among the young leaders.
The newly elected cabinet members were formally greeted, after which the chief guest addressed the gathering, encouraging the students to be responsible, disciplined, and value-based leaders. The outgoing head boy, head girl, and cabinet members expressed their gratitude for the guidance and support they received during their tenure. This segment was followed by a special prize distribution, recognising meritorious students for their achievements.
The Annual Sports Day segment was inaugurated with the chief guest declaring the sports meet open and lighting the sports jyothi, symbolising the spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition.
A lively entertainment dance added colour and cheer to the event. The final races of the day generated great excitement and enthusiastic participation from students and encouragement from the audience.
The programme concluded with the prize distribution, a heartfelt vote of thanks, and an inspiring address by the principal, who appreciated the collective efforts of students, teachers, and parents in making the event a grand success.
The day stood as a beautiful blend of leadership formation, discipline, talent, and sportsmanship, leaving behind joyful memories for all present.
