Six killed as container truck hits bus on Yamuna Expressway

Yamuna Expressway, Feb 7: Six people were killed and one injured early Saturday when a container truck rammed into a bus on the Yamuna Expressway, police said.

The accident took place around 2:45 a.m. in the Sureer police station area. The bus, which was travelling from Noida to Rasulabad in Kanpur, had stopped midway to allow a passenger to use the washroom when the truck struck it from the side, officials said.

The injured person has been admitted to the district hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. Police added that the drivers of both the bus and the container truck fled the scene, and further investigation is underway.
